Simone Hayes – Founder Energy Fitness

Personal Trainer, Running Coach, Outdoor Group Fitness Trainer

Simone is an experienced Level 3 Personal Trainer (Fitness Australia) and Level 3 Performance & Development Trail & Ultramarathon Coach (Athletics Australia) and started Energy Fitness in 2006. She loves to share her fondness of all things fitness and outdoors, inspiring others to find their inner strength and potential, whilst embracing the beautiful surrounds of the Sutherland Shire in her Outdoor Sessions.

Simone helps her clients to work to their potential and discover what they are truly capable of.  Call it a bit of tough love, as her classes are no walk in the park, but if you trust her and let you guide her, the results will speak for themselves. Everybody has a different fitness level, a different pain threshold and a different tolerance to exercise. Let Simone help you find your inner strength and get you out of your comfort zone, as she knows that everyone is capable of more than they realise. You’ll be able to achieve what you never thought possible and you’ll never look back.

Simone ran Energy Fitness successfully on her own for 11 years and is now enlists help from trusted and experienced trainers. Currently she is working with Paul Hadfield who is an accomplished Ultra Runner and Chiropractor in Gymea at Gymea Allied Health.  All staff bring a whole new dimension to training and their own personal touches, and we believe that our services complement each other very well.

We all have the same passion and training philosophy that will ensure our clients get results. By combining forces we can offer you the best fitness and health package in the Sutherland Shire. We also work closely with Allied Health professionals in the area to help you with injuries and prevention.

Simone has a passion for trail and ultra running and has had extensive experiences in distances from 10km-100mile. She continues to raise the bar by challenging herself, in the hope that she inspires her own athletes to strive to achieve. In 2019 she was selected to represent Australia in the 24 Hour World Championships in Albi, France in October. Running around a track is not what she is used to and this was WAY out of her comfort zone, but she practices what she preaches and leads by example. She then tackled the 240km road run Coast 2 Kosciusko in 2020 and 2023 (5th and 2nd). In 2022 she was lucky enough to gain an entry into Western States Endurance Run 100 miles after 7 years of entering and qualifying! Read her race report here!

In 2020 Simone was elected to the committee  of  AURA – Australian Ultra Runners Association and in 2023 was elected as the first ever female President, where she is passionate about supporting and nurturing the sport of ultra running in Australia and feels this is her way to give back to the sport she loves. She wants you to achieve your goals too, whatever they may be. Start small and you never know where you will end up!

We look forward to helping you change your life!
